** Ellis Island (Port of New York) Passengers to USA and Canada (free search) **
From 1892 to 1954, millions of people arrived in North America via
Ellis Island. Most family researchers are unaware that a significant number of those who
immigrated to Canada from overseas arrived in North America at New York, then continued by
overland transport to Canada, usually via rail. This site, sponsored by the Ellis Island
Foundation Inc. provides a searchable database of passengers that can be used for free.
Should you desire a printed certificate, you can order one on the website for a reasonable
fee.
