but Zug Lake and the town of Zug have indeed existed for centuries. I have
no idea if there is a connection between the city and the surname, I would
think it's entirely possible, but the town of Zug is notible because it is
there, legend has it, that the Prussian Armies stopped the advance of the
Roman army way back in the early centuries during the Roman empire. Off
the
top of my head I can't remember the details or the dates, but it
is a very
historic place.
