Hi All,
I am interested in the families of Christian ZUG b 1710 and Moritz ZUG b 1715 who may have
been the sons of John ZUG b 1684 in Europe. One or both may be buried in the LAPP
Cemetery of the Chester Valley. The place I find interesting is Whiteland Twp. of Chester
Co. (at this very early date it may all have been referred to as Lancaster or Philadelphia
County).
When my 4th great-grandfather Johannes GERBER died in 1777 Berks Co., PA, his second wife
Susanna moved with her two small children to Chester County, I expect to be remarried. In
1799, the older son Hannes GERBER b. 1772 m. Barbara ZUG who was b. Abt 1781 Exton,
Chester Co., PA. Other GARBERs in the same branch also located in Chester Co., PA. I am
interested in cemeteries where GERBER/GARBERs might be buried.
Also there seem to be Brethren GARBERs in Chester Co at this early date. I would like to
be able to track them, and the ZUGs/ZOOKs to the midwest. Thanks.
Doug Garber
