THE WILL OF THOMAS SUCHE OF ARMSCOTE
Probate before Griffin Williams 10 January 1557/8
1557
'In the name of God Amen. The 18 daye of Maye in the yere of our Lorde 1557.
I Thomas Suche of the towne of Armescote in the countie of Worcestie
husbandman
Doo make and ordaine this my last Will & testament in man(ner) & form
following.
First I commend my soule into the hands of the almighty god beseching hym of
his
Infinite m(er)cye to p(ar)don me of myne offen(ences) & my body to be buryed
in
Ye church of Tredington. It (em) I make my two daughters Margaret & Alice
myne
Executrixes. And to Margaret myne eldest daughter & to her heyrs I gyve ye
house
& lands now in the occupation of George Gibbert. And to Alison my yonger
daughter
& to the heyres of her body lawfully begotten. I gyve my house that I dwell
in with
all such lands as appertayneth unto yt so that she & her heyrs shall gyve
unto margaret
my daughter & her heyres for ev(er) out of my house & land XXs (20s) by
yere.
Also I make William Hancok and Henry Hancok of Blakewell myne over seers &
To eyther of them I gyve for theyr paynes Vis VIIId (6/8) Also I gyve to
Richard Such
My brothers sonn LX (60) sheep that ys to saye twentie couples & twentie
other sheepe.
Two kine also and rwo yong beasts besides. Also to Thomas Rose & John Tasker

Daughters children my godsonnes I gyve to each of them 1111(4) ewes Also I

For ye behoose & p(ro)fitt of my 11 (2) daughters Margaret & Alice & theyr
