My Zorn's came to SC from Strassburg Germany (Now Strasbourg, France) in the
first German-Swiss immigration in 1735. My first ancestor in America was
Nicholas. Nicholas died in 1741. Nicholas and Catherina's children were
Magdaline, Catherina, Susannah, Nicholas, Jr. and Henry. Nicholas, Jr.
and Henry received land grants by King George III on Pon Pon River (Indian
name for South Edisto River meaning "Big Bends") in 1773 and 1774. From
these brothers descended all bearing the Zorn name now residing in Bamberg
County. I am looking for George Zorn in SC

What area did your Zorn's live in? What names are you pursuing?
Maybe
that
type of info will trigger some response. What time frame? I have
some
families in Tazewell and Cass Counties in Illinois. These families came
from
(?) Baden Baden. Currently, in addition to IL, our Zorns are in CO,
FL ,
IN
and no telling where else they may be. Mangoav
