I found your ZOPFF site very interesting. I am trying to figure out
the
connection between ZOPF and ZOPFF.
If you go to the link to the blazon or coat of arms, near the bottom I give a brief
explanation. Essentially, the person who registered "Zopff" in 1717 was a
"Zopf" who was distinguished in his own right. So when he was so honored, he
added the extra "f" and combined the "Zopf" coat of arms with the
"Steckel" coat of arms to create the "Zopff" coat of arms. At least
that's my take on it!
