Linnea A. McColley

Linnea A. McColley, age 92, of Valparaiso, passed away on Tuesday, February
4, 2003 at Life Care Center. She was born March 24, 1910 in Hebron, the
daughter of Aubrey A. and Ethel (Richards) Zinn.
Mrs. McColley was a cook at Strongbow Inn from 1947 to 1950 and was a member
of Calvary Baptist Church in Valparaiso. She was also a magnet inspector at
Indiana General in Valparaiso, for over 25 years. On March 26, 1932, she
married Clarence McColley who preceded her in death, October 4, 1952.
Surviving are four children, Dorothy Jean Eslick of Kouts, Melvin (Dorothy)
McColley and Elsie Taylor of Valparaiso and Carolyn (Gary) DeLong of
Lakeland, FL; a foster daughter, Barbara (Jim) Harmon of Peoria, IL; 25
grandchildren: Alan Thompson, Jack Thompson, Toni L. Otto, Jeffery McCree,
Keith McCree, Donald Eslick, James Eslick, Mark Eslick, Dennis and Michael
McColley, Jo Lynne York, Lambert Kniefel, Tim Kneifel, Neil Kniefel, William
Taylor, Bonnie Pyle, Bobby Wild, Ricky and Willie Wild, Stephen Pendergrass,
Ralph Pendergrass, David Pendergrass, Theresa Quintero, Vickie Blankenship
and Richard DeLong; 53 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, a daughter, Lois Anne McQeary in 2000, a granddaughter, a
grandson, two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons preceded her in
death.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 7, 2003 at 1:30 P.M. at
Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso, IN, with Rev. Michael
Porter and Rev. Elaine Antal officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood
Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Visitation will be on Friday, 11:00
A.M. until time of Services.
