Hi ZINN researchers!
I am not a ZINN, but collect old postcards. I have a few with
the ZINN name, and in Missouri and Kansas.
One is addressed to MRS. LAURA P. ZINN, KANSAS CITY, MO., 1231 INDIANA AVE.
It opens DEAR GRANDMA...reference is made to Pauline, to an Aunt Alice, and Aunt
Is...Im.......(can't read) and refers to a visit just made to the grandma. It is
signed Laura (cannot make out last name...DOEN...DOERR?....not sure)
The post mark is LARNED, KANSAS, JAN. 1910 POSSIBLE...here again, the year cannot be
read.
Another postcard ..addressed to MRS. A. B. INGELS, 1215 Benton Blv., Kansas City,
MO..opens DEAR ESTELLE....mentions VERNON..again from Laura, datd 1910.
And next a postcard addressed to Mrs. Larua Zinn, same Benton Address as above, in Kansas
City, MO. GREAT photo on front, two women, one man, three children sitting on
donkeys..names written above the children are GEORGE, HELEN, and HAROLD. Date written is
Sept. 14, 1908.
Mentions a trip to Colorado Springs on way from Denver.
Signed...MALTIE?...MATTIE...looks mostly like MALTIE, but
maybe she just did not cross the "T".
One other, to the same Laura Zinn, refers to CHARLIE and PINKIE...looks like it was never
sent.
If anyone has knowledge of these names or interest, my ONLY intent is to find the family
that these belong to...they are great items and I would like to see that they get home
with family...I have no other motive...just the fun of finding their kin.
Nancy
