Greetings, West Virginia cousins!
If your family hails from Preston County, there's a terrific family photo on
Ancestry.com:

that y'all should take a gander at. It's a Zinn family reunion from 1916, complete
with babies and hanging quilts. Unfortunately, Harrison Zinn died in 1911 and isn't in
the photo, but Rachel is in it, along with what appears to be all of her children,
grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I stumbled upon it yesterday and instantly
recognized my great grandparents. The photo's owner told me her great-aunt was only
able to identify a few of the faces, and I love a good mystery. So, if you are a
descendant of Harrison and Rachel Zinn*, there's a very good chance that you'll
see someone you recognize. If you do, could you please help us identify them? You can
reply here, or add a comment on the
Ancestry.com picture. It would be wonderful to get a
few more names, and then we might be able to guess the rest based on what we know about
the family in 1916.
Thank you for looking,
Julie Bloem Malewska
(Lorenzo Milford Zinn's great-great granddaughter)
*Harrison and Rachel's children were Lorenzo Milford Zinn, Laura Zinn Cool, Charles
William "Willie" Zinn, Arkimedes Zinn, Salina Zinn Henderson, Julia Zinn Wiles,
Homer Zinn, and Harry David Zinn.
