Personally, I do not know if SINK is included in this Zink List...... BUT......It SHOULD
be !
Any one researching their SINK surname would be wise to post here...(just as well as
anyone researching ZINK would be wise to read them) since the original spellings of Sink,
were actually.... Zink, Zinck, Zincke, and Zinckh.....AND since most lists include all
variant spellings of a given surname.
My ZINKs are from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. In Lancaster County there were some
ZINKs who's name I have seen used both ways, as ZINK and as SINK, and some of that
family did keep the name SINK.

Hi, I'm a descendant from Jacob Zink of early 1700 in PA. There were
several Zink or Zinck who immigrated within 20-30 years. It was my
understanding that our line - Michael>Stephen went to Franklin Co., VA
where they stayed and went with the spelling of SINK with many descendants
still there today. Another line went to North Carolina and used the
spelling of SINKS. Is this mailing list for all of the above names or
only Zink? Does the owner of this mailing list have any connection with
the owner of the SINKS mailing list?
