I am looking for information on my great-grandfather, Theodore Zink. I have a formal
photograph, marked as taken in 1910 and identifying him as 24 years old. I believe it was
taken in Indiana, near Lafayette--perhaps Mulberry, where he lived when my grandmother was
born. Theodore's wife's name was Rosa, maiden name Golden. My grandmother's
name was Opal, and her brother was Eldon. Eldon never married and produced no children.
Family legend has it that Theodore's father or grandfather narrowly escaped
conscription in Germany, was smuggled out of the country and sent to the US at age 12.
While I would be interested in any information on Theodore Zink, I would especially like
to corroborate and flesh out the story of his forebear's immigration to the US.
