Hi All,
I've been lurking for a while and haven't seen much activity, so I figured
I'd try and start my own! :)
Has anyone done any research on ZINKs in Bavaria? Especially in the Bamberg
area in the 1700's.
Specifically:
ZINK, Georg *1727
wife TRAPP, Anna *1735
They accepted an invitation (along with thousands of others) from Empress
Maria Theresia to help repopulate and reclaim the Panonian plain (Kingdom of
Hungary) after the Turks were driven out.
They emmigrated circa 1770 with children, and lived in a German community in
SE Europe for the next 200 years or so...
As far as I know, church records there only indicate "Bamberg" as the
previous residence, so it may be another Bamberg, or it may just mean the
Bamberg area.
They were Roman Catholic.
Any help would be appreciated.
