Marguerite Olive Zink was my mother. She was the daughter of James Boyd Zink & Cecil
Beatrice Zink (maiden name: Cecil Beatrice Jolley, sometimes spelled "Cecile").
I believe the "Little Rock, Ark" reference to Cecil Beatrice is inaccurate;
James & Cecil raised their 2 sons & 2 daughters (including my mother, Marguerite)
in Littlerock, California; a small agricultural community about 50 miles North of Los
Angeles. Many of the first and middle names were "passed down"; my aunt
Lalah's name was a take on an ancestor named "Lela" and my mother's
middle name (Olive) honored an ancestor whose first name was Olive. The "passing
down" of first-and-middle family names was common practice in their times - a
tradition which I think was wonderful and is losing popularity these days. I'm just
glad my parents didn't name me "Creek" or "Branch" or some such
thing ("Stick"?). Good luck w/ your Zink search; hope this helped.
