DEACON: I also have a Johannes Zimmerman, a direct ancestor, who had a
wife named Anna (Anna Kern). However, my Zimmermans originated just across
the Germany border in Switzerland (right on the border, as a matter of
fact). Anna Kern was German though. Would love to compare some notes.
YVONNE MORGAN: I was in touch with Paul Andre at one time, and seemed we
were working on the same line. So perjaps Deacon and I are connected
somewhere.

I had a great-great-uncle that lived at Latrobe, PA for a while
before
traveling to Stearns Co., MN. His name was Johann Zimmermann - his wife's
name was Anna. They traveled to MN with three priests from a Benedictine
Monastery (St. Vincent's) from Latrobe. I have record of him going to MN
in
1854. Is Latrobe anywhere near you. Johann's obituary says they
had
several
children, but they were all dead. I would appreciate any assistance
anyone
can give me.
Peace,
Deacon BZ
