Hi,
sorry to disappoint, but after looking at what I have on our
relatives there aren't any matches. Both Ida Zimmerman and August
Liebenau were born in the US, neither was ever known to have been
in North Dakota.
I wish you luck with your search. Usually it boils down to just
keeping at. It took me over 30 years to finally reach a point
where I can say that I am fairly well informed on my family ties
- but here are a great number of 'black holes' out there that I
haven't even touched yet. My Aunt , who is now 96 years old, gave
me the family research bug about 40 years ago, I hope that is
contagious enough that someone in our younger generation will
catch it.
Take care, and enjoy your Turkey!
Marvin

Ida and August were married in Iron Ridge, Dodge, WI. I don't
know where her family lived, I have been unable to gather much
information on her parents. Two of their children were born in
Hubbard, Dodge, WI and two were born in Mayville, Dodge, WI. I'm
not sure "Liebenow" is the correct spelling. My husband's father
spelled it "Leebenow". Ida was born in Frankfurt an der Oder,
and August was born in Germany as far as we know. When Ida went
to Janesville, August went to North Dakota. None of the family
seems to know why Ida left so I have limited information. The
family seems to have lost touch with both Ida and August. If
this is not enough information let me know and I will try and dig
up more.
Thanks for your help
