Hi Charley,
Looking forward to seeing you again at the reunion. I saw this on the
Rootsweb Newsletter and thought you might want to go. Possibly you
could get Eleanore Long interested?

Carolyn & FEES/FIES Genealogists:
I just returned from a wonderful workshop, hosted by JOHNSON STARE &
Ann Maria (and deepest apologies for misspellings; I couldn't read the
name tags nor locate them in the numerous print-outs they brought
along!) of The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. My head
is still swimming from all the knowledge imparted there, and now to
review it in more detail.
This genealogy workshop ran about two hours of cram-packed information
accompanied by excellent slides and overlays, followed with time for
questions and on-line viewing the site:

I believe this would be an excellent choice to highlight the upcoming
FEES/FIES Lebanon County Reunion, or one in the near future, such as the
HINNERSHITZ Berks County Reunion. There is so much data available there
centering around our area of interests that it is impossible to touch on
it in this brief (?) e-mail message to a few of the family lists
included above.
And thank you, Carolyn, for calling this to my attention here in
Middletown, PA. I didn't see ANY advertisement of it locally, and was
disappointed that a lot of the eager Middletown genealogists weren't
here, including Elenore Kiehl Long and my own sister-in-law! To mention
just a few.
Gotta run - I need some fasteners to complete a honey-do job before
wife Katie returns from the Badlands and the Dakotas.
Regards,
