DISTRICT OF NEW-YORK - PORT OF NEW-YORK
I, Herm. G. Franke, Master of the Germ. Lloyd S.S. Rhein do
solemnly, sincerely and truly
declare that the following List or Manifest, subscribed by me, and
now delivered by me to the
Collector of the Customs of the Collection District of Newyork is a
full and perfect list of all the
passengers taken on board of the said German S.S. Rhein at Bremen
from which port said Rhein
has now arrived; and that on said list is truly designated the age,
the sex, and the occupation of
each of said passengers, the part of the vessel occupied by each
during the passage, the country
to which each belongs, and also the country of which it is intended
by each to become an
inhabitant and that said List or Manifest truly sets forth the
Number of said passengers who have
died on said voyage, and the names and ages of those who died.
Sworn to this April 19th, 1880, Herm. G. Franke, So help me God.

Franke is Master, from Bremen, burthen (weight not entered) tons.

country of destination, died on

omitted the columns for country of
destination - all indicating US], died on voyage [deaths will be
listed in Transcriber's Notes],
portion of ship occupied [Transcriber's Notes will indicate the
passengers in cabin or steerage
class].

Howdy List. Recently information was posted to this list with info from the
ISTG list. Being a member of the ISTG, myself I know the information there
is copyrighted, and so I wrote to the owner of the site to ask for advice
this was her response:
Hi Kris...since you are a member of this mailing list, would you please ask
them to mention the name of the ship, the date and the volume where the
Zimmerman name is found that then give the link to our main page. There are
surely other Zimmerman's and they can use the search engine at the bottom of
any index page.
No harm done here really though.
