DIED. At his home in Rountree Township, March 25, 1880. Edward Miller, of heart disease,
aged 50 years.
The deceased was born April 11th, 1830, in the city of Hanover, Germany, and immigrated to
this country in 1848. He lived in New York City about six years, where he learned the
trade of silversmith, then removed to St. Louis and then lived on a farm in Jersey county.
From there he moved on to a farm in Clinton county, living there three years, thence to
Montgomery county in 1869 where he lived to the time of his death.
While residing in New York City, he was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth ZIMMERMAN,
who survives him. Thirteen children - eight living - four boys and four girls, were born
to them.
He was taken with heart disease in April last, and since then has been confined to his
home most of the time.
The family return their sincere thanks to their neighbors and friends for the many
kindnesses shown them during Mr. Miller's illness.
