I am tracing my wife's family lines which lived in the German
district of Cincinnati in the late 1800s and early-mid 1900s.
The earliest relative we know of is Annie (ZIMMERMAN), who was
raising Katherine, George, Joseph, and William Anthony alone in
1910 Cinti. Annie was born in Germany about 1863 -- no idea
about her husband.
It is possible that the family came from Ft. Thomas (Campbell Co.),
KY or Jessamine Co., KY before moving to Hamilton Co., OH.
William Anthony ZIMMERMAN ran a grocery store in Cincinnati (we
think) and one in Cedar Grove, IN (we know!).
Also working on other related lines from the same area:
BAUERSFELD, BROWN, DEHNER, HART, HELWIG, JENISCH, KELLERMAN,
KUPFER, MUENCH, NEULMAN, RICHTER, REINHARDT, SCHMIDT, WOODS.
In addition, I have recently scanned 95 photos from an old BROWN
family album, for the most part taken between the 1880s and 1910s.
I'm assuming there are some ZIMMERMANs and others surnames repre-
sented. I will be putting these online soon for your perusal
and hopefully, your identification ... I have names for only a
handful of them.
