Someone sent me this site and they collect old photos. On this page it lists
an old photo for Barbara Zimmerman.
Thought someone may be interested.

Thank you for the look up! Is there anything on Barbara Zimmerman who married Hans George Keller about 1760? Her father is Peter Zimmerman. I think Barbara died around 1798. No other information on her personals. Hans George Keller was born March 4, 1730/31 in Rothenfluh, Switzerland and died January 1788 in Beckford Parish, Shenandoah County, Virginia. Thank you for your time and effort. Any one else researching this line?
Kathy Busby
Kathy:
I have some Augusta lines that crossed that Keller line so different people
have sent me notes on the Keller family.
Are you sure Barbara was a Zimmerman? These are notes----Anna BARBARA
Hengerer (Hanger) b 11/1/1736 in Eschelbronn m George Keller c 1756. His
father George Keller mother--Anna Barbara Hottel.
My Hanger genealogist has the same notes in her research. And she has
Barbara's father as Peter HANGER.
Food for thought!!!

Hello Zimmerman Rooters
Does anyone have anything on a George Zimmerman born the 28 Aug 1837 in
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He is my brick wall. Have birth, marriage
and death sources but none list his parents. Not even the 1850 Federal
Census has him with parents. Sure would be a help if I could just find
something on him or if someone could tell me where to look next. I know he
was married to Mary Magdalena DARR and they resided in Carlisle, Cumberland
Co Pennsylvania.
George Zimmerman lived with The Samuel Allen Family in North Middleton Twp,
Cumberland County, Pennsylvania in 1850 according to the 1850 Federal Census
and they were listed as Samuel Allen age 50, Hetty E. Allen age 46, George
Allen age 23, Samuel Allen Age 17, George Zimmerman age 12, Rebecca Allen
age 10, David Allen age 8, Jacob Allen age 7, Sarah Ann Allen age 3, Yost
Allen age 8/12 , Mary Ann Allen 15 and Mary Ruth age 42.
!DOCUMENTATION:
1.CENSUS: 1880 Fed. Census N. Middleton Twp Cumberland Co.Pa page 10
Super.Dist # 7 Enum. Dist. #73 Also shows Elizabeth DARR as
Mother-in-law Age 59 Widowed.
2.OCCUPUTION: Carpenter
3.BIRTHPLACE: Degister of Death B-Vol 1. #1592 lists Cumberland Co Pa.
4.MARRIAGE: First Evangel. Lutheran Church Carlisle Pa 28 Dec 1858.
Cumberland Co Historical Soc. Newspaper Index states Married on the
28th Inst., by Rev. Jacob Fry, George Zimmerman to Mary M. Darr, both
of
N. Middleton Twp-American Volunteer (Carlisle) Thursday January 13,
1859.
5.DEATH: Perlectic Stroke as per Death Register of Cumberland Co Pa.
6.CENSUS: U.S.1850 Census has George living with the Samuel Allen
Family.
7.BURIAL: Wagner's or Waggoneer Church Cem FHL #0856818 page 42 also
listed on Register of Death B-Vol 1 #1592 Cumberland Co PA.
I hope I have provided enough information on my George Zimmerman. I just
don't know where else to look. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you Kindly.
Carol

I don't think we are talking about the same Zimmerman's. The Line I'm
trying to find out about is John Joseph who was married to Anna Maria and
they had Alfred, married Clemtina Gsponer, Frank, and Anton. They came from
Switzerland and ended up in Pa. then Arkansas. If you have any info on
these Zimmermans' let me know. Thanks, Nicki

Dear Pam,
Where in Indiana? Christian's daughter Barbara is my 4th great grandmother.
I'm trying to find out where these folks are buried. I'm pretty sure
Barbara turned up in Baton Rouge but so far haven't found her. Barbara and
her husband Peter Seitz went from NC to TN to KY to LA and Peter died in
the Battle of Medina in TX at about age 62!
Do you have any other information on these folks?

Hi. This book on Zimmermans is called "A Genealogical Record of Our
Zimmerman Ancestors in America" compiled by Russell and Edna Zimmerman,
Covering the years 1710-1992. It is an appendage to the formerly
published book, "The Descendants of Isaac W. Zimmerman." They have been
in this country for a long time.

Please take note I corrected my query to state George Zimmerman was born 28

Also he is listed on the 1850 US Federal Census living with Samuel Allen and
wife Elisabeth and their children all with the surname except for George
Zimmerman.
Thank you for any help.

In you spare time could you look for:
John Zimmerman born 6/1/1765 in North Carolina. He married Nancy Meyers of
Kentucky. He migrated from NC thru KY and then to IN. Possible father would

Thanks for your time.

Dalice,
Thanks for the information. If the book only has Zimmerman
(n)s from the PA area it wouldn't do any good at this
point. My Zimmermans are from Brooklyn. Of course I don't
know if any family members came over from Germany and
settled elsewhere.
Thanks again,
