Hi All,
This letter was sent to me in the morning mail. I urge all of you to go to
the website listed and please write to your reprensentative and let him/her
know how you feel about this bill passing.
If they pass this bill and start charging for the internet, alot of us
will be done having the financial ability to use it, me being one of them.
I have already sent a letter urging my rep to vote against it, please take
the time and do the same before the internet is no longer free.
Thanks, Debie

Hi All....
I have belonged to the mailing list for quite a while but have had little
to offer anyone, with regret. I guess my problem is that my Zimmerman's
lived in Canada since the 1740's leaving New Jersey. I'm having trouble
finding any relatives in the States to continue my search from that point.
I would really like to hear from anyone with Zimmermans in Canada (mine are
in Southern Ontario). Maybe we can exchange information to help us both
out....
Some common names in my line are: Peter, Mathius, James Dawdy and Adam
Zimmerman (to name a few)
Thanks a bunch...
Judy.

Mrs. Badger,
May I recommend a book which has some information about Zimmermans from
Steffisburg: EMIGRANT, REGUGEES, AND PRISONERS by Richard Warren Davis,
PO Box 50182, Provo. UT 84605, Volume I. He does not trace your line as
you stated it but does trace Niclaus Zimmerman, b. 1575 in Steffisburg
and some of is children and descendants.
I think he has my line which went to Markirch, Alsace, France before
1700.
I suggest that you contact the author and see if he has information
about your family.
Glad to help.

Ms. Howery,
I see you are still pursuing the ancestry of Mathias Zimmerman. You may
remember me; I am Robert Carpenter author of Carpenters A Plenty which
traced Zimmermans/Carpenters in the Gaston-Lincoln County area of NC. I
also researched your Mathias and corresponded with you some years ago
trying to determine whether there was any connection between our
families.
I have acquired some new information. One researcher says our line
starts in Steffisburg, Kanton of Berne, Switzerland. They moved to
Markirch, Alsace, France, and then to America in 1732. I still have not
found the connecting generations and much of the material is
speculation.
I wish you luck in your search. If you ever find your line, let me
know.
Robert Carpenter

Hi All,
I don't know if anyone on this list is researching any Zimmerman from
Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, but I thought I would write just in case.
I am currently uploading the history of Sheboygan County to the Genweb
page. Last night I uploaded several files that pertained to information
about an F. Zimmerman that would have been in Sheboygan County prior to
1880. If you are researching anyone like that, I suggest you go to the
Genweb site, use the search engine in the middle of the page and do a
search for Zimmerman, it should take you to the files where the information
is.
This is not detailed family nor does it list anything further than F.
Zimmerman, but it does tell what role he played in certain areas in
Sheboygan County prior to 1880. I found it to be very interesting reading
it while transcribing the data.
If you have any question, please feel free to e-mail me, the url will
appear at the end of my letter as a signature file,
Have a great day!!!

Hello Paul & All: For some reason I did not recieve the original guery

will help but here goes. I have a David Zimmerman born 1787, married 15
March 1815 to Mary Kelly in Harlenton, Union County PA. Enlisted Spt.
1813 Regimento of the 39th PA Militia, possibly discharged 1814. He died

(married Melzina Hepler) & Henry. Do not have all the birth & death
