I am looking for info on Karol Zielinski (original name I believe), aka Charles Zilinski,
aka Charles Zilinski (b.1876 or 1878 in Poland). He came to the US from Poland (Galicia in
one account) in 1900 or 1903. According to family info he married his wife Marcella
Sahutski (b.1884 in Poland) on June 1, 1902, in Maspeth, Queens. I'm not sure about
the spelling for Marcella's surname. This is confusing because the only immigration
record I found is a New York Passengers list which states Karol came to the US in 1903.
Under the name of Charles and Marcella, the two had thirteen children. I have a bit of
info on Karol and Marcella in the US, but I would like to trace their families back to
Poland. I believe Karol might have come from the Russian part of Poland, the family story
is that he was escaping conscription to the Czar's army. Marcella is from another part
of Poland; she immigrated in 1895. Although she spoke Polish, she may have had Lithuanian
roots. Any info on Karol Zi!
elinski or Marcella Sahutski would greatly be appreciated, including finding info on
their American marriage. They are my great-grandparents, and I know I have quite a few
cousins out there. Thank you.
