Andrew Ziegler sold his Land (Deed )in Pennsylvania 1805, He may have
been in Ohio as early as 1805. He did have land in Springfield township
Muskingum Co. in early 1806. There for it is time for something grand.!
Many of the American Revolution soldiers never required their Country to
pay land bounties. They may have been to proud of their service. To
live free of tyranny ,and to survive the war must have been enough. Our
Andrew was undoubtedly an honorable man. He never received bounty land.
Andrew brought his Family to Muskingum County Ohio , was a pioneer,
known as a bear hunter. He died in 1839 and is buried in his cemetery in
Newton township on Yost road. The exact location of his grave is
unknown . Since the tombstones have been broken and most are lost.
Cattle had unlimited access to the cemetery . the owner of the(54acre)
land Virgil Slack died last year. I hope they stop buying cattle.
We should have some kind of get together , or do something . I am so
proud of my family, i have met so many good people. Happy Anniversary
Ziegler clan of Ohio.
sincerely
John Ziegler
