Thanks so much for the reply...
Yes, I have been continually amazed doing geneology research (just recently started).
Especially at the coincidences! Its tempting to jump to conclusions because a name and
birth year seem to line up I've quickly learned how little that means. There are lots
of similar "family" names in the tree you listed comparing them to my family.
Its especially difficult in that my G Grandfather (Gabriel) was an immigrant, and at least
one his brothers who came over from Germany went back at some point. I also heard through
oral family history that this brother who went back lost several sons in the war.
I found a Christian Ziegler in the 1910 census living in New Britain, Stratford County,
Conn. The data seems to fit but I don't know from family contacts any of his
children's names so I can't confirm that this is the correct Christian. His wife
was Katherine in the census with children Louse, Adam, Anna, Tiny (sp? its hard to read
the handwriting), and August. Also listed in the household is a "mother" named
Mary. Which could potentially be my G Grandfather Gabriel's mother if this Christian
is indeed my relative. Ahhh...possiblities!
I appreciate anything you are able to find out.
