My Zeigler ancestor is also one of my brick walls.
William ZEIGLER ( 1826-1870), native of Wittenburgh, Germany arrived in New
York in May of 1847 (ship unknown) and married Louisa EVERWINE (1834- 1925)
on July 3, 1849 in Indiana Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He was
twenty-three at the time and I have no record of parents or siblings who
accompanied him. He was (I believe) Lutheran.
William Zeigler #515 came from Germany, got papers Dec 1853, his sponsors L
Kessler and C C McLain, this is when he applied on June 27, 1848 Indiana
County.
