Sabine, Hi, I live in the US in North Carolina and am a Ziegler.. My relatives came to the US by way of Stuttsgart, Germany. I have heard Stuttsgart is near Switzerland. I have really not researched that long so I really don't know much about Stuttsgart.
I would be happy to help you if i can find a connection to my Ziegler's to yours.. You can contact me any time you may need help on the Ziegler's from Pa [ around Berks and Montgomery Counties, Pennsylvania.
My Great Grandfather was Horace Laughlin Ziegler [ Born Jun.1855 in Pa.,Died in Wilmington, Delaware 1922] and his wife was Rebecca Donahower[Born 1858 or 1859 in Reading,Pa.,Died in Wilmington, Delaware]. I have been told that Horace's father was named John and his mother either Hannah or Maria..

Judith Ziegler b.1685 d.1760 in York PA she m. Hans Casper Spengler 1684/1760
both from Weiler Germany, they had 8 issues, they arrived in America on the
same ship with her uncle Georg Philip Ziegler, all this information is in my
book " Hans Georg Ziegler's Progress ". I was in Weiler in May, the Spengler
home remains today but the Ziegler home burned to the foundation about 1800,
Ludwig Ziegler was the last Ziegler to live in the home, another home is in its
place. Contrary to the belief that the Ziegler's were all brick makers is not
true the Ziegler's of Weiler were growers of grapes for wine. If you need any
other info. let me know.

Hi --
Like you, I also have a Lena Ziegler (1883-1980) of German ancestry who
immigrated to Minnesota and then moved to the Pacific Northwest.
Coincidental, considering yours and mine are two different Lena ZIEGLERs.
Mine is Anna Helena "Lena" ZIEGLER, b. 17 Sept 1883 in Faribault County, MN,
m. on 3 May 1903 in West Chehalem, OR, George Louis MEYERS. They had three
daughters, one of whom, Thelma, was recently residing in Vancouver, WA.
Lena Ziegler Meyers' sister, Emma Louise Ziegler CONE (1893-1981) was my
wife's grandmother.
Since our two ZIEGLER families followed the same migration pattern, perhaps
they are related. My Lena's parents were George Jakob ZIEGLER and Ana Maria
WEINMANN from Wuerttemberg, Germany. I cannot find another Lena, nor a Fred
LEI(T)Z, in my family tree.
Best wishes,
Richard H. Mathews
