MANSFIELD: Florence Eilen Taylor Zickefoose, 89, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday,
May 26, 2010 at Crystal Care Center following an extended illness.
Florence was born July 23, 1920 in Fredericktown, Ohio (Knox County) to Clarence B. And
Ada Pearl (Norris) Taylor. She enjoyed upholstering and had owned her own upholstery shop
for years. Florence enjoyed driving around in the country, playing Bingo, and attending
church at Crystal Care.
She is survived by four sons, Melvin Zickefoose, Jr., David Zickefoose, Richard
Cantlebarry, and William Cantlebarry all of Mansfield; numerous grandchildren; and great
grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond Taylor, Richard Taylor, and Donald Taylor all of
Mansfield; two sisters, Ruth Ann Schonstraw of Columbus, Ohio and Norma Jean Cole of
Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Zickefoose,
Sr.; her first husband, William T. Cantlebarry; one daughter, Josephine Thompson; and two
sisters, Edna Burns and Betty Lou Matheney.
Calling hours will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 at Werner-Gompf Funeral
Services, 1106 Park Avenue East, Mansfield.
Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Chaplain Alden J. Thibeau and Pastor William
Butch Cantlebarry officiating.
Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in Ohio Western Reserve National
Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
The family would like to express their thanks to the employees of Crystal Care for their
care, support, and friendliness.
