I am the great granddaughter of Charles Grafton Zeller. My grandmother was Gladys Mary
Zeller, Charles Zeller's first child with his second wife Ida A. Steinbrook b. 1874 in
Toledo, and died in childbirth in 1902.
Charles had 4 children with Ida:
1. Gladys Mary Zeller b. 5/3/1896 d. 6/3/1973,
2. Elva C. Zeller b. 5/11/1898 d. 10/6/1991,
3. Hazel A. Zeller b. 3/11/1900 d. 10/20/1995, and
4. Joseph Zeller b. 1902 d. 1902.
- Gladys married William David Redding 7/26/1930 and had two daughters: Joan Elva Redding
b. 11/22/1933 and Kathleen Gladys Redding b. 9/3/1935 (my mother).
- Elva Zeller never married.
- Hazel Zeller married Alfred A. Pfleghaar and had three children: Donald Pfleghaar b.
1924, John Pfleghaar b. 1926, and Carolyn Pfleghaar b. 10/7/1928 d. 5/1977.
- Joseph Zeller died in childbirth along with his mother, Ida.
After Gladys' husband William David Redding died of a blood clot to the brain on
3/30/1937, she moved to Washington DC so that she could get a job to support her
daughters.
1. Joan Elva Redding married John Beltoff Andrews (b. 11/1935 d. 12/13/1987). They married
4/19/1958 and had two children: Laura Kathleen Andrews b. 7/1959 & Barry John Andrews
b. 1/1962
2. Kathleen Gladys Redding married William Clifton Rinehuls (b. 11/13/1934). They married
4/12/1958 and had four children:
Pamela Joan Rinehuls b. 4/29/1959
Mary Virginia Rinehuls b. 9/24/1960
William Mark Rinehuls b. 7/14/1962 d. 12/19/1981
Daniel Paul Rinehuls b. 7/28/1966
My mother Kathlen, Charles' granddaughter, has a very good memory of family events, as
does my Aunt Joan, her sister. I can always ask her questions if you should have any.
Pam Rinehuls Smith
