Thank you, for the Book info.
However, my Michael Miller was b-1826-IL., and married
to first wife, Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Jane Garner, b-1825-IL. They married in
1842-Alexander Co, IL. Also lived in Union Co, IL. They were my gg-grandparents. They had
two daughters, Mary Jane Miller, b-Oct-1843 and Sarah C. Miller, b-1844/45, d-1863-age
18yrs, 8 mos. Their eldest daughter, Mary Jane Miller, b-Oct-1843-Anna, Union Co, IL.,
married Charles W. Cook, b-1834-NC. They were my g-grandparents. Charles W. Cook's
parents were, Daniel Cook, b-1790/91-NC., and second wife, Jane Jemima Kennerly,
b-1806-NC. They moved to, lived and died in Union Co, IL. Daniel Cook and Jane Jemima
Kennerly were also my gg-grandparents. They had eight children. Daniel Cook's first
wife, was Martha Brumley, 1790-1827. Martha died after giving birth to their ninth child,
we believe. We have found names and info for four of their nine children.
Michael Miller's dad was David Miller, b-1792-Rowan Co, NC., and wife, Catherine
Kreitz, b-1794-NC. David Miller's
parents were, Johann Wendel Miller, b-1733-Germany, and
second or third wife, Christina Fisher, b-1730. Johann Wendel Miller, b-1733 was a Captain
and Lieutenant in the
Revolutionary War. There is a book written about Wendel Miller and his Descendants, I
understand.
Supposedly Wendel Miller, b-1733 was married to one or two
Indian ladies before marring Christina Fisher in 1770 and has quite a history. One Indian
wife, may have been named Red Fern or Red Fawn. Supposedly they had eight or nine
children.
Also I am trying to find the parents and siblings for Elizabeth "Eliza" Ann Jane
Garner. Her second husband was
Samuel James. They lived in Union Co, IL., and Ullin, Pulaski Co, IL. They had daughters,
Rebecca James, Alice James and Helen E. James. Eliza's father may have been Green B.
Garner, b-before 1780-NC.,or GA., and Sarah Calvin, or an Unknown wife after Sarah Calvin
died. I believe Green B. Garner also lived in Pulaski Co, IL., as did his son, Young D.
Garner. Also a correction in my previous posted message. Eliza's youngest daughter
from her second marriage was named Helen E. James. Helen married a John Gleason. Helen did
not marry in 1905. Helen died in 1905. We are also connected by marriage to the Jacob
Frick family. Cornelius Frick, b-1833-Jonesboro, Union Co, IL., married Mary Jane Cook,
b-1836-NC. Cornelius Frick was Jacob Frick's grandson. Mary Jane Cook, b-1836 was a
sister-in-law to Mary Jane (Miller) Cook, b-Oct-1843 and younger sister to Charles W.
Cook, Mary Jane (Miller) Cook's husband. Jacob Frick, b-1751-Bucks Co, Penn., and
married to Eva Elizabeth Earnhardt, !
b-1771-Penn., also served with Captain and Lieutenant Wendel Miller in the Revolutionary
War. Small world'. They all ended up in Alexander, Union and/or Pulaski and maybe
Tazewell Counties in Illinois. We are also connected by marriage to the Monroe Rinehart
family. Delorus Victoria Cook, b-1864-Canada married Monroe Rinehart, b-1847-Union Co, IL.
Delorus Victoria Cook was the daughter of Charles W. Cook, b-1834 and wife, Mary Jane
Miller, b-Oct-1843. Delorus and Monroe moved from Union Co, IL., to St. Louis, St.Louis
Co, Missouri, living there the rest of their lives. We are looking for birth info for
Delorus Victoria Cook in Canada. Wanting to know where in Canada in 1864,was she born ?
If anyone/family has any info re: the above persons, I would like very much to hear from
you '.
Thank you,
