I'm a descendant of Daniel (Ceilo/Zelop/Zeliff/Zeluff......many more variations) and
Hannah Klec or Clarke. Any idea where they are buried? I am trying to figure that out at
the moment. In Daniel's will a witness is William Ely. On further scrutiny it turns
out that Captain William Ely lived nearby in Livingston Twp., Essex County, NJ, and
donated land for a cemetery just a few years before Daniel's passing. The name of the
cemetery is Ely Cemetery, located in Livingston Twp, (which used to be called Northfield).
I am to understand that Benjamin, Daniel son and his wife are buried at this cemetery. I
would like to explore this more.....perhaps see if there are stone markers still there in
the cemetery. Would you have any more concrete knowledge of this? I know I am coming out
of the blue on this. We corresponded many years ago. I will attemp to see if I can get
these stones photographed. the cemetery is only open Memorial and Veterans Day. It is very
well protected by the Li!
vingston Historical Society. Hope to hear from you.
Deborah
