Sandy,
I stumbled on the FIND-A-GRAVE website a few years back. I'm just getting around to
doing Zeliff/Zeluff research, but I love this site. I've navigated through the old
cemeteries in Essex (now Union County) New Jersey looking for our ancestors. There is a
cemetery called Ely Cemetery, in Livingston Twp., Union County, PA. Land was donated by
William Ely for a cemetery. William Ely and our Daniel Ceilo/Zeluf were contemporaries.
William died shortly after our Daniel. William Ely was a witness to the signing of
Daniel's will. I read back on old emails of mine, and a descendant of Benjamin's
noted that he and Polly Ward are buried in Ely Cemetery. Also, Hannah Zeliff, nee Clark
lived with Benjamin after her husband Daniel died. I think they are all buried in Ely
Cemetery. However, when you go to the cemetery listing on FIND-A-GRAVE it notes that they
are not there, and it's been 100% photographed! I don't think this is so.The
cemetery is only opened on Memorial and Veterans Day!
. Would like to plan a trip there next Veterans Day to do sleuthing. My daughter lives in
West Chester County, New York now, not too far from this cemetery. I hope you will be able
to read (and understand) this. It's been a long time.
Deborah
