Hello everyone!
First I'm sorry to send this message to the list but I've received ten
"snow white virus's since December 2000, and ask for your help. The virus
email normally looks like this:
***********************************************************************
"From: Hahaha <hahaha(a)sexyfun.net>
Subject: Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs - The REAL story!
Today, Snowhite was turning 18. The 7 Dwarfs always where very educated and
polite with Snowhite. When they go out work at mornign, they promissed a
*huge* surprise. Snowhite was anxious. Suddlently, the door open, and the Seven
Dwarfs enter..."
(then there's an attachment that contains the virus)
***************************************************************
I believe that this may be a good time to mention that for the past week
I've been tearing my house apart to reveal all those little white termites
that are invading my sunroom. I believe that I've killed all of them and
am now rebuilding my sun room. They remind me of the virus I get every
other week or so. I guess that my email name must be everywhere because I
get this same virus so often. My anti-virus program always catches it and
I delete the attachment but I sure would like it to stop, (kind of like
those termites)!
So I figure that someone out there has the virus but doesn't know
it? This virus just sends itself to everyone in the Outlook Express
Address Book and thus keeps repeating & duplicating itself!
If you are running an anti-virus program and updating it
regularly...great. If you don't have an anti-virus program I would like
to encourage you to install a free version from Computer Associates. I
use the CA program and update it with a download every other day or so and
find it's a very good, and free, anti-virus program. To learn more and to
download the anti-virus program visit
<
http://www.antivirus.ca.com/>. Installing and running the anti-virus
program will tell you if you have any virus'. It will also constantly
monitor real-time and prevent you from getting a new virus.
Now back to my termite restoration project. Needless to say, you haven't
heard from me lately and I figure I have another week of rebuilding remaining!
