Dear Sir:
My name is Lawrence Altpeter. I am 69 years old. My mother's maiden name
was Catherine Zeisler. She was born and raised in New York City as one of
eight children. Sadly, my grandfather died before I was born and I know
little about him. Two of the eight children were boys. Henry Zeisler moved
out to Chicago and died several years ago leaving a son, Henry Jr., and
daughter Rosalind. The other brother of my mother, William, lives in
Detroit. We have had very little contact with him.
Recently, some of my cousins have started a planned Zeisler family get
together in Las Vegas. These peoples will all be descendants from my
mother's clan, mentioned above.
I understand one of the family members is doing a family tree effort.
Perhaps she has contacted you. Her name is Nancy Pittars. She lives in
Florida. I have not met
her; but I have her e-mail address. Having reached your web site so easily,
I would not be surprised if you two have met.

Hello Tom,
It sure is strange to be writing to a fellow whose mother has the exact
same name as my mother...Catherine Zeisler! There seems to be many
pockets of Zeisler's all around the world and we can't connect any of
them. If you have visited my Zeisler web page
<
http://www.juch.net/zeisler.htm> then you know my Zeisler history.
No I haven't been contacted by Nancy Pittars and would appreciate her email
address.
We do have a Zeisler rootsweb mail list that you & Nancy could join. The
greater number of members to this list the better the chance we will have
for benificial sharing and maybe connecting some of those Zeislers! I'm
sending your quiry to the Zeisler list and maybe someone will help you also?
Looks like I should start a "SuperZeisler" file that contains all know
zeislers in the various trees we have identified. This way we at least can
capture everyone and be prepared to identify any common zeislers then
connect them where possible? I would appreciate hearing from others on
the list about this idea. I do this for my own surname and it has proven
very helpful and productive.
