"KERNERSVILLE -- Amy 'Honey' Zeigler, 66, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, after
a courageous battle with liver cancer. Now she is home with her Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. A native of Harwich [, Barnstable County], MA, she had lived in Eustis [, Franklin
County], Maine, for several years. While living in Harwich, she was married to the late
Norman F. Zeigler and raised her family of five children. She was preceded in death by her
mother, Wilhelmina Ryder.
A homemaker, she had spent her last years in Kernersville [, Forsyth County, NC] and was a
member of Waughtown Baptist Church. A beloved wife, mother, and friend, she is survived by
her daughter, Sandy Wiles, and her husband, Jr., of Kernersville; sons, Norman F. Zeigler,
Jr. and his wife, Libby, of Sanibel Island, FL, Cyd Zeigler and his wife, Debbie, of
Harwich, MA, Jerry Zeigler and his wife, Debbie, of Rangeley, ME, and Chris Zeigler of
Eustis; two sisters; three brothers; nine grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and
a very special friend and sewing partner, Emily Rogers.
The funeral service is scheduled for noon Friday, Sept. 23, at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral
Home Chapel, with the Rev. Joe McWethy and the Rev. Gary Byrum officiating. The family
will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight, Sept. 22, at the funeral home. She will be
taken home to Eustis to be placed at rest besdie her husband in the Flagstaff Cemetery
after a graveside service.
