Hi!
Actually I don't think so. Because Robert Zeigler was born in South
Carolina and Chelsea Stephens in NC. They were not in the 1860 Census but
were married in 1866 even though their first child was born in 1859. This
tells me they were slaves. I checked out the information that Denise gave
me and their was a Nathaniel Daniel Zeigler that owned a male mulatto about
the right age. And Sam Stephens had a female mulatto that fits the
desciption of Chelsea Stephens. But I have been pulling a lot of records up
that have to do with the Zeiglers you are looking for. I just haven't been
able to make a connection in PA.
Thank you for the hands up and let me know if I can be of assistance. Pat
