MOUNT GILEAD, OH: Clinton D. Zeigler, Jr. passed away in the presence of his beloved
family at his home on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the age of 71.
He died from complications as a result from an accident dating back years ago.
He was born on June 25, 1942 in Mansfield, Ohio, (Richland County) the son of Clinton D.
and Florence E. (Burghard) Zeigler, Sr.
He attended the Johnsville High School and graduated in the class of 1960.
He had a love for John Deere tractors that he passed on to his kids, grandkids and great
grandkids. He never missed an opportunity to be at any extracurricular activities
involving his grandkids.
He shared his home with the homeless and needy.
He never passed by a broken down car without providing assistance.
His pets were also loved very much and well taken care of, he had no problem sharing his
Ho Hos with them.
He had nearly a miraculous ability to fix anything.
He could make anything run, even without having all the proper tools
.He was a member of the Perry Church of Christ.
He retired from General Motors, Ontario, Ohio Plant, after 30 years.
In his retirement, he enjoyed tinkering with his John Deere tractors on his farm.
He is survived by his children: Vicki (Tom) Baker of Darlington, Teresa (Wayne) Queen of
Johnsville and Clinton D. (Tracy) Zeigler, III of Chesterville; grandchildren: Christopher
(Tasha) Zornes, Jennifer Zornes, Zoe (James) Thompson, Ryan Zornes, Tommy Baker, Nathan
Queen, Katie (Barry) Phillips, Brandon Queen, Julie Queen, Jason Zeigler, Yaoxu Zong; and
six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Zeigler.
The Zeigler family will greet friends from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the
Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel, 67 N. Main St., Mount Gilead, Ohio.
Services celebrating his life will be held there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Minister R.
LeRoy Bumpus officiating. B
