Very interesting, but not our line either, I don't think. We hunted for a
long time for the village name and finally found it on one of the brothers
marriage licenses. Julienhain however is a German name for a Czech town and
has thus been changed. I hunted another year to find the equivalent. It is
a very small village between Budejovice and the Austrian border now called
Hranice y Novy Hradu. I don't know much else about it.
Another clue to find the village is to take a township map of when your
ancestor owned land in America. Find his neighbors. Chances are most of
them were his friends and came from the same area if the not same village.
Check for their obits, marriage licenses, etc. If you can find their
village, then write to the village and ask about your ancestor. I heard
Karen Hobbs talk about this at the CGSI conference two years ago. She said
the village responded that her ancestor was from the next village and was
very helpful.
