Oh, yes, I have much more info! The fact that it is in German isn't a
problem. I was just going to send a copy to you if you could read it,
but I'll just take the time to translate it for you. I'll try and
have it done soon, but seeing as I teach at a boarding school, it can
be quite a challenge to make time!

Hi Mike!
Thanks for writing. There really isn't much happening on this list, but
I have it in case something like this comes along.
I wrote to you about four years ago... as I recall, you had a number of
different e-mail addresses that came and went. Interesting domain name
you have now!
Here's what I have from previous input from you, your dad, and your
cousin Barbara:

Obviously, not very much...
What do you have? I can't read German, but my son Chris has had a couple
of years of German in college, and I know enough of the key words to be
able to figure out relationships. What form do you have the genealogical
information in? If it is written in longhand or script, I'm probably out
of luck, but if it is printed we can try to transcribe it. I often use
the machine translators (Babelfish, etc.) to get a rough idea of what
the German is about.
If there is any information you can provide electronically, feel free to
share it with me. I can put it into my software (Reunion) and manage it
from there. Whatever is historical, I can begin to accumulate entries
for a GEDCOM file to put online.
Also, we can continue the discussion on the mailing list if you like.
Just reply to <ZAPPE-L(a)rootsweb.com> instead of to me, then evryone can
particpate.
Thanks again for writing. Let me know the current status of your living
relatives while you're at it.
Steve
ps - I appreciate your tagline!

Great Heart continued, "Since Christ Jesus the Lord has made himself
righteous under the Law, this righeteousness must be given away; for
the Law not only binds the one who is under it to do justly but to
also use love. Since he must do these, according to the Law he who
has two coats ought to give one to him who has none...
