Joye, I don't know if my Zahns came from Hockenheim, but perhaps your book will have a
clue. I am concerned with John Zahn, born about 1780 (this could be way off) in Germany,
and his wife Barbara Drick Zahn. They settled in Lycoming County, PA. They had children
(or grandchildren) Barbara (who married Jacob Hauser) and George (who m Christianne
Keebler). I also have my husband's g-g-grandfather, George Cahn, b in Germany and m
to Catherine Killgoose. We believe this George was a Zahn in Germany which became Cahn
(pronounced similarly) in this country. And, I am working to connect my Cahn line with
the Zahn line above, which also converted to the Cahn spelling. Any help will be
appreciated!
