Thank you for the reply.
Harry was a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff in the 50's prior to his death of
Pancreatic Cancer. His remains are interned at the Inglewood Park Cemetery. His son Mearl
G. Zahn would be in his 70's if he is still alive. He was pretty much a recluse
according to other past family members. He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.
Based on what information you have given me, unfortunately does not show any indications
of a connection. Mearl was an only child and at this point I have not determined whether
his father had other siblings?
I will keep your email address on file in the event something does appear.
Thank you again, Raymond Race

Re: Harry Kneer Zahn
I'm on this mailing list because my husband's Cahn line goes back to the
name Zahn from Germany. Cahn is pronounced with a soft C, like Sahn.
And I'm writing about Harry Zahn because you mentioned a son named Merle
Zahn. This is interesting because my husband's grandfather was Henry
Murl Cahn (he even named one of his sons Harry Lester Cahn). Henry Murl
Cahn, known as Murl, was born in Lycoming County, PA. Could there be a
connection? Please check your extended family info and let me know what
you find.
Leslie Cahn
