Hi rooter,
I can't help with what you need, but my father was a Zahn son of Ephraim
Zahn and Mary Weisner Zahn. They also came from parts of Germany. One
line, called the white Zahn, Mary Weisner, came from around Berlin, while
the other "black German" came from southern Germany. They came by ship to
America sometime around the 1840-50s and settled in N.Y. State in Naumburg
and Castorland.
Although I am a Zahn, I am researching my maternal grandmother's line NASH.
They came from England very early. Can be found in Massachusetts and
Vermont as early as the 17th century, possibly sooner, and settled (my line)
in northwestern N.Y, Jefferson and Lewis counties, especially Pillar Point
(Ferry), Jefferson Co. My gggrandfather William Wallace Nash is buried in
Pillar Point.
Maybe later on I will search Zahn surname.

Looking for any information on my one lone ZAHN.
Andrew/Andreas Zahn; born: November 1835. Came to the US in 1861 and lived
in Dane County, Wisconsin. Was a farmer with a large farm. In the 1900
Census, he is listed with my great great grandmother, Wilhelmine nee Draves
Woldt. They are listed as brother and sister.
Wilhelmine's parents were: Christof Drefs/Draves and Anna Christine
Brietenbach. I can only assume that Wilhelmine and Andrew were
half-siblings. The father (Zahn) of Andrew is unknown. They are both
buried next to each other in York Cemetery, Dane County, Wisconsin.
In the 1900 Census, Andrew is listed as single, so I assume that he never
married. In an earlier census, there is a listing for an 'Otto' Zahn, age
18, unsure if he is connected to Andrew or not.
Any info on my one Zahn would be greatly appreciated.
