Saundra,
My Cahn line is pronounced like sawn, with a soft C and we believe it was originally Zahn
in Germany. Our Jacob Cahn was born in 1843 in Lycoming Co, PA and his father was George
Cahn or Zahn and was born in Germany. I don't know when George came over.
Another Cahn/Zahn line I am trying to link to begins with John Zahn, born about 1780 in
Germany, married to Barbara Drick of Germany. They settled in Lycoming Co, PA and had
children (or perhaps these were grandchildren) George and Barbara Zahn. (George was born
about 1838 and could be brother to my Jacob). I have extensive info on the offspring of
these two Zahns.....let me know if you're interested and if you know anything of
Jacob!
