Hi Susie,
As the newsletter editor of the Aaron and Ruth (Wiggins) Wells Family
Association, I'm afraid we don't have any information about your William
Wells. However, in looking over the Mason Co., KY marriage records at
RootsWeb, I found a clue to possible kin. The bondsman for the marriage of
your William Wells was Thomas Prather. He had married, as his second wife,
Sarah Wells, whose bondsman was Samuel Wells. Therefore, Thomas Prather may
have been William's uncle by marriage or brother-in-law. The Prather family
is quite extensive in Mason Co. and seems to have it's roots in Frederick
Co., MD. Perhaps this association can help you find more information.

Subject: [Zachariah Wells] William WELLS
I believe my 3x GGrandfather is William R Wells born between 17891
and
1800 in Virginia and died
before 1850. He married Elizabeth Caout or Gault in Mason County,
Kentucky Jan 1821.
Children: William L, James S, John E, Marcus H, Elizabeth B.
If anyone connects with this Wells family, or knows the ancestors of
William R,
I'd be thrilled.
Cheers,
Susan Hastings
