This is way off topic, but I would like to have anyone on this list
who lives in the Pacific Northwest defined as extending roughly from
San Luis Obispo, California to the Canadian Border contact me IF you
are potentially interested in music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s
(that is vintage music to some of us) and would be interested in
hearing from me when I have a concert (not me performing) featuring
this sort of music in your area. If I do not hear from you I will
assume you are not interested and you will hear no more from me on
this topic. This will be an opt-in list.
Last year many of you may know I organized a tour of 15 concerts with
the Kingston Trio and Brothers Four.
In particular if you are in the Puget Sound area we will have some of
the following artists performing this year (the first in two weeks)
The Beatniks - Classic Rock such as Beatles, Creedance Clearwater
Revival, Simon & Garfunkel
Jay Siegel and the Tokens - Doo Wop including their signature "The
Lion Sleeps Tonight"
Barry McGuire (was with the New Christy Minstrels and did the main
vocal for Green, Green) and John York formerly of the Byrds (Turn,
Turn, Turn & Mr. Tambourine Man)
Tim Curry (does a John Denver tribute and was the singing voice on
the CBS Special "Take Me Home, the John Denver Story")
The Salty Dogs (an Oregon group who perform everything from Belefonte
tunes to Everly Brothers with a bit of Rock in the middle)
And we are working on tours through the Pacific Northwest with:
The Irish Rovers. - there is some uncertainty about this one.
The Original Highwaymen (Michael Row The Boat and Cottonfileds) & The
Limeliters
Glenn Yarbrough - the final Farewell Tour
