I would like to point out to everyone that tombstones are not always

All the more reason for someone to see if we can't verify the death through
some independant means such as an obituary in a contemporary newspaper or
records of the funeral home.
It is quite possible that the only thing that was present was a stone that
read "Elizabeth Wells" and someone later replaced it with the present stone
and got the husband's name wrong - someone who mistook this Elizabeth for
the fabled "Elizabeth Osborne" and assumed she was the wife of Zachariah
rather than his son Jeremiah.
I have contacted Opal Graber who will look into her notes to see where she
got the death information for Elizabeth (Culbertson) Wells, wife of
Jeremiah. Maybe this will shed a little light. Maybe not. I am to call
her back at the end of the week.
More research needed here.
