I recommend a salt lick (for the farmers out there). The IGI contains a
lot of very good and reliable information. Unfortunately, it also contains
a lot of very bad information contributed by family researchers who were
led astray by printed genealogies full of errors themselves. If the IGI
entries are based on documented public records, they can be reliable. If
they are from secondary sources, you need to be extra cautious and seek the
sources of the information rather than just accepting it as fact. This is
the case where Zachariah has been incorrectly listed by many as a son of
Richard Wells and Ann "Nancy" Brown. He wasn't. Unfortunately, we
don't
know who his parents were at this point.
