M.L.K. Wells wrote a newspaper article for the Paintsville Herald in the
1920's and made this claim. Of course, you know how reliable M.L.K. was!!!

Actually, it was Richard Wells and Ann "Nancy" Brown who were NOT
Zachariah's parents. Where did the Elizabeth come from?
Does anyone have anything that would defuse the William Wells b: cir 1710
MD and Mary Hardner b: Cir 1720 Maryland as the parents of Zachariah? Or,
conversely, any evidence that would suggest that they were? This too is
present on more than one researcher's web site and/or records for the
family. I would like to see what evidence exists to suggest them or if
there is research identifying all their children.
