What is the source names them of "Delaware"? As an Eastern

additional check... I found no reference in G. Schweitzer's book "Maryland
Genealogical Resesarch" that Kent or Talbot counties' land were ever in the

I would take the "Now in Delaware" to mean that Talbot county, once in
Maryland, is now in Delaware. However, I admit I never followed up on that
issue. Not that I have taken a look I see Talbot is clearly still in
Maryland and Delaware only has three counties, none of which is Talbot. It
is clear that Talbot does not even border on any existing Delaware county,
so that is clearly wrong. I couldn't tell you the source of this. I might
be able to locate it in my files, but it will take a bit. I suspect this
is an error referring to a section of Talbot that is now in Queen Anne
County, Maryland.
St. Luke's Episcopal Parish (corner of today's Main St. &
Walnut) in
Church Hill, MD: Founded in 1728, when the provincial council in
Annapolis
granted a petition to establish the present parish. St. Luke's, the oldest
brick church in the state with its original structure was completed, 1732, at
the cost of 140,000 pounds of tobacco.<<
This is another thing that has bothered me. The list of Wells from the
Parish Record shows no entry prior to 1728. How then, can it be said that
the children of Richard Wells b: 1677/8 and his wife Catharine had 11
children "most of whom were recorded in the register of St. Luke's Church"
when probably all of them were born prior to the time this was even in
existence?
John B. Wells, maybe you can shed some light on this. What do you
understand the source of the children of Richard Wells and Catharine ______
to be?
Incidentally, I was working with the material we did three years ago and I
can not come up with 11 children. What am I missing?
One thing is certain. Most if not all of the Wells listed in the St.
Luke's parish record are tracable to this family. It is tempting then to
presume that William Wells, who married Mary Harner/Hamer, is also. But
that is not a proof.

Do you know if there is a register from this time period? If so, do you
have a transcript of it?
