Margie, I forgot to tell you that Lee County, Virginia and
Wise County, Virginia is Wells territory. Way back
when.. Virginia had not been divided out into Kentucky and
Virginia....I understand Caudill's played a part in mapping
that out! I also understand there is a Wells Cemetery in
Esserville in Wise County, Va.
Hope this is helpful!

Subject: [Zachariah Wells] Lewis Wells and Lucinda Johnson
Can anyone give me more info. on Lewis Wells and Lucinda Johnson? I
have
them in the 1850 Lawrence Co. KY Census. I have their marriage date. I
have been told that Zachariah b. 1802, son of William T. Wells and Susannah
Ward is Lewis' father. Where are other siblings? Who has sources for their
children? Was this Lewis Wells also a minister?
I have eleven children listed for them and nothing to back it up except
that my
Grandmother is one of them.
I've been told that they are in the 1860 Lawrence Co. Census and I can't
find them. Also told they are in Elliot Co in 1880 Census (Can't find this
one on line at all).
Please, any and all help would be appreciated.
Margie
