Andy, We do have in our family, a Thomas b. 1740, Pa. m. Ann. So he could
easily have a son named Thomas who had a son named Zach. We just don't
know how this Thomas hooks into the family.
Orin passed this info on to me..."the three main lines are Aaron, Robert,
Zachariah.
The side lines are Augustus; Thomas b. 1740 m. Ann; Joseph b. 18 Feb 1768
Pa., m. 14 Jul 1789, Sarah Farquhae; William b. 26 Oct 1791 Pa, m. 31
Jan 1813 Martha Langhead(settled in Zanesville, Muskingum, Ohio.)"
From Aaron's line he is b. bef 1742 m. Ruth Wiggins and d. 1813
NicholasCo. Ky.
Robert b. abt 1753 Va, m. 1 Jan 1778 Mary Downing, Frederick Co. Md. d.
abt 1837 in Clermont Co. Ohio. And I guess Zach was b. 1739 abt. and m.
Abigail in Grayson Co. Va.
Don't know if any of this helps, Hope so.
Happy New Year to you, Carolann

Hi again,
Yes, its me again. Please, indulge me.I have a few more questions.
In going over some "Deed Book" papers(thanks Jean).Source:Lee Co.
Va
Deed Book 5 pages.....Film; 0-032-428
this is between Samson and Christine Shepard"of the one part and
Zachariah Wells son of Thomas of the county ,and state aforesaid of
the
other part" ect. they go on to describe the 1000 acreas for $1000.00
and
the area of Va.
Why do they describe Zach. as the son of Thomas..Tomas was son of
Zach1...b.1771.this deed took place in 1825...doesn't make sense.I
know
that one of Zach1 sons had a son Zach3(from this line anyway)..any
comments?
Also does anyone have any info on Joseph Wells.....first son born
to
Zach1 and Osborne.
Thanks.have a Happy New Year!!
